I just came across the library and took both my kids aged 4 and 9 to the library. It has so many things to do, for all age group. The best staff who are always there to help, very clean space, good place to meet new people. If you want to leave the busy life and want a calm and peaceful place, then this is the spot. Do make a library card for easy access to borrow the wide collection they have…

This is by far the best Library I have ever been to! Staffs were very friendly and helpful. It’s super clean and spacious. There are so many play areas for the kids to enjoy! I always thought the library closer to my area was the best , but I was so wrong ! Even though you don’t own a Skokie library card you can take part in certain activities.

Clean, massive selection, ample study spaces, enormous. This is without a doubt, the best public library I have ever been to. First of all, the library is huge. There's so much space to study or just sit down and read for a couple hours, and the amount of books, movies, and video games is huge too. Secondly, the library is so clean and well-kept and the lighting really livens the place up. There's also so much unique stuff here, there's a whole room to use 3D printers and sewing machines which is such a nice addition. Highly recommend getting a card from here if you live in the area.

Such an amazing library. The staff are very sweet and knowledgeable. The kids area is amazing. Could use more puzzles but otherwise so much fun. They also have a court yard and for my sensory son its perfect for him to play in the water when its warm. Wish they had something indoors too. Very clean. Their nursing room is amazing. Only staff can open it AND it's quiet and clean inside. I spend most of my time in the kids section but the few times I've been upstairs it's very spacious and organized.

This is the worst library ever!!! Not one librarian does a single thing to keep this place quiet and contained. They allow parents to let their children destroy the place, scream, throw tantrums, tear books…and literally they sit at the desks just starring at these out of control children and parents!!!! Libraries are a quiet institution where people come to read and study.. never been to such a zoo before! No manners from any of the parents… no control of their children and they think this is a babysitting free for all service! This city needs to set rules and follow them! Most chaotic mess I’ve ever visited! Never been to such a terrible library before. Most libraries don’t allow talking over a whisper… this place is horrible! Bring earplugs…better yet…don’t go at all! Absolutely stay away from this library. No manners from anyone here including the staff. Embarrassing!

Beautiful library. Love the craft room; many options include machine embroidery, 3D printing, laser printing, sewing machine, etc always staff available to help and instruction books. Lots of quiet seating and study rooms.

I don't usually write review but I HAD TO for this library!! This is the best place even if we don't want to read books, we can do a lot more stuff. I come her to study and the best thing is that it is so inclusive and welcoming to all kinds of people. I feel really comfortable and at second home here. The staff is amazing and there's just so much to do here! p.s. if you want to pray, just ask a staff, they'll guide to a room, (the best, right?)

Love Skokie Public Library!💕 Now that it's been renovated it's even more esthetically pleasing. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The teen section is awesome with study rooms, gaming area, and fun open spaces. The children's area has a new aquarium and open play areas. It has a fabulous collection of reads and DVDs. Once the library opens further in accordance to CDC guidelines it will be nice to see everyone enjoying the new courtyards. Love this place! 💕
